Floors made of marble tiles look pretty classy and elegant. To add on they are quite stain resistant which make it easy to be maintained. However that does not in the least mean that you can forget about taking proper care of it. Marbles are of elegant and light colours. Therefore any kind of dirt or stain catches the eyes easily.

It is absolutely essential that you vacuum clean it and then mop it every single day. You should not let any kind of dirt settle as they tend to leave a scratch on the floor. Every second or third day you need to clean the floor elaborately. It is best to rinse the floor with a special marble cleaner or a home made cleaner of dish washer and warm water.

The next step is to mop it well. To add a shine to it you can use one coat of marble polish or wax which is approved for marble. Following these steps give a glass like reflective property to your floor.
