Painting to those not conversant with it can come across as a very tedious activity. This is however not the case to inventive people who can come up with the different type of painting techniques.

Sponging is one of the easiest was through which one can achieve a paint. Here there is the base color which is applied first which is followed by the random applying of the second coat of paint.

Another decorative painting technique is the glazing which requires some taking of classes to effectively execute it. One here can use as many coats of glaze to achieve the desired effect.

Trompe-L’oeil which means fool the eye is so advanced that it can bring out a painting which looks like a marble or granite finish. A lot of talent is required here however.

Last decorative painting technique is the combing where the teeth of the squeegee used here is used to comb through the top layer of the paint. This is a very inexpensive way of painting.
